Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg (approx. 50g)
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture looks pale and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix on low speed just until the white streaks of flour disappear.
  4. Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of your air fryer basket.
  5. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball roughly 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Place dough balls in the basket, leaving at least 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  7. Set the air fryer to 330°F (165°C) and air fry for 5–7 minutes.
  8. Remove cookies when edges are light mahogany-brown and centers look set.
