Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated white sugar
- 1 large egg (approx. 50g)
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp (2g) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture looks pale and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until fully combined and smooth.
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix on low speed just until the white streaks of flour disappear.
- Cut a piece of parchment paper to fit the bottom of your air fryer basket.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball roughly 1 inch in diameter.
- Place dough balls in the basket, leaving at least 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Set the air fryer to 330°F (165°C) and air fry for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove cookies when edges are light mahogany-brown and centers look set.
