Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (28g)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed (50g)
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (2.5ml)
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (15g)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (65g)
- 1/4 tsp baking soda (1.5g)
- 1/8 tsp salt (0.7g)
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (60g)
Instructions:
- Whisk the melted butter and brown sugar together until smooth. Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until the mixture looks glossy and well-combined.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold the mixture gently with a spatula until no streaks of flour remain, being careful not to overmix.
- Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie and roll into a ball. Place the balls on a piece of parchment paper, leaving 2 inches of space between them, and carefully lower the parchment into the air fryer basket.
- Set the air fryer to 310°F (155°C) and bake for 6 minutes. The cookies are done when the edges are set and the tops look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies rest in the basket for 3 minutes before removing to allow them to firm up.
