Ingredients:

  • 1 box (18 oz) brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and eggs until smooth and pale, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Fold in the boxed brownie mix and additional all-purpose flour with a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges look set and matte but centers remain slightly soft.
  7. Immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired and let cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
