Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs Snow Crab Legs or King Crab Legs, thawed
  • 2 whole lemons
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Thaw the crab legs fully in the refrigerator. Rinse under cold water to remove excess brine and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, juice of half a lemon, smoked paprika, and Old Bay seasoning. Set aside 1/3 of this mixture for use as a dipping sauce.
  3. Place the legs on a large rimmed baking sheet. If they're too long, gently snap them at the joints to fit. Pour the butter mixture over the legs, using a brush to ensure every nook and cranny is coated. until the shells look glossy and wet.
  4. Cover the tray tightly with a double layer of aluminum foil. Crimp the edges hard against the rim of the pan. This creates a vacuum like seal. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes.
  5. Carefully peel back the foil — watch out for the steam!—and garnish with 1 tbsp fresh parsley and remaining lemon wedges. The meat should feel firm but springy when touched through a crack in the shell.
