Ingredients:
- 1 box (432g) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
- 1 pinch (1g) flaky sea salt
Instructions:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the batter is smooth and glossy.
- Pour the batter into a greased 6-inch pan and place it in the Ninja Crispi basket.
- Set the device to the air fry/bake function at 350°F (175°C) and cook for 5 minutes, or until the edges are set and the top is golden mahogany.
- Remove the cake and immediately brush the melted butter over the hot surface.
- Sprinkle the granulated sugar and flaky sea salt evenly across the top.
- Return the cake to the Ninja Crispi for an additional 60 seconds to allow the sugar to bubble and crystallize.
