Ingredients:

  • 1 box (432g) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (12g) granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch (1g) flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the batter is smooth and glossy.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased 6-inch pan and place it in the Ninja Crispi basket.
  3. Set the device to the air fry/bake function at 350°F (175°C) and cook for 5 minutes, or until the edges are set and the top is golden mahogany.
  4. Remove the cake and immediately brush the melted butter over the hot surface.
  5. Sprinkle the granulated sugar and flaky sea salt evenly across the top.
  6. Return the cake to the Ninja Crispi for an additional 60 seconds to allow the sugar to bubble and crystallize.
