Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp (5g) baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
  • 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg (50g)
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp (1ml) vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Grease a 6-inch cake pan thoroughly with butter or line the bottom with a circle of parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate container, beat the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it into the Ninja Crispi basket.
  6. Set the device to Air Fry at 325°F (160°C) and bake for 12 minutes until the top is mahogany-colored and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Remove the pan and allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Whisk the powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla together until smooth, then drizzle over the warm cake.
