Ingredients:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) baking powder
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg (50g)
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp (15ml) whole milk
- 1/4 tsp (1ml) vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Grease a 6-inch cake pan thoroughly with butter or line the bottom with a circle of parchment paper.
- Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl.
- In a separate container, beat the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it into the Ninja Crispi basket.
- Set the device to Air Fry at 325°F (160°C) and bake for 12 minutes until the top is mahogany-colored and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the pan and allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes.
- Whisk the powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla together until smooth, then drizzle over the warm cake.
