Subway Footlong Cookies
Subway’s chocolate chip cookie is a favorite, and now there’s a foot-long version. The best part? It’s easy to make at home and even better when served warm, just like in the shop. The cookie has crisp edges and a gooey center, perfect for enjoying right out of the oven.
The only challenge is finding the right pan. A 12-inch reusable loaf pan works best, but you can also use an 11-inch disposable one if needed. Although not exactly a foot, it’s close enough. If you go with the reusable option, it’s a great excuse to make the cookie again and again.
Trying to bake it without a mold doesn’t work well since the cookie won’t hold its shape. To keep it authentic, it’s best to use a mold, just like Subway does with their trays.

Footlong Cookies: A Giant Treat
Subway’s Footlong Cookies have made a comeback, offering a sweet indulgence for cookie lovers. Popular for their unique size and delicious flavor, Footlong Cookies are a fun and shareable treat that’s sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Enjoy them as a standalone dessert or alongside your favorite Subway meal.
Technique Tips for Perfect Subway Footlong Cookies 🍪
Mixing Matters:
- 🥄 Avoid overmixing the batter. Overmixing develops gluten, making the cookies cakey. Mix until the dry ingredients are just incorporated.
Chilling the Dough:
- ❄️ Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. This helps the cookies become thicker and chewier.
Shorter Bake Time:
- ⏲️ Bake until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. The cookies will firm up as they cool, so don’t overbake.
Equipment Needed 🛠️
- 9″ x 13″ Baking Pan: Essential for baking your Subway Footlong Cookies 🥘 It gives enough space for the dough to spread evenly and ensures uniform cooking. Grease or line with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup. 🧈📜
What brand of cookie does Subway use?
Subway uses frozen dough pucks from Otis Spunkmeyer to bake their chewy, fresh cookies. So, if you’re making a copycat recipe, you’re essentially recreating the taste of Otis Spunkmeyer’s popular cookies as well.
Why doesn’t my Subway have the footlong cookie?
Subway’s footlong cookies have been pulled from digital channels due to high demand. The unexpected popularity caused a shortage, leading to the cookie being temporarily removed from the menu less than two weeks after its debut.
