But my previous easy Italian Wedding cookie recipe with a few ingredients is also very delicious.
Ingredients Nestle cookie dough
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestlé Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts (if omitting, add 1-2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour)
Instruction
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixer bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is creamy.
Step 3
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 4
Bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Step 5
Let them cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
Pan Cookie Variation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan.
Step 2
Prepare the dough as described in the original recipe.
Step 3
Spread the dough into the prepared pan.
Step 4
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 5
Cool the pan on a wire rack.
Step 6
Cut into bars to make 4 dozen servings.
Slice and Bake Cookie Variation
Step 1
Prepare the dough as described in the original recipe.
Step 2
Divide the dough in half and wrap each half in waxed paper. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Step 3
Shape each half into a 15-inch log and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 5
Cut the dough into 1/2-inch-thick slices and place them on ungreased baking sheets.
Step 6
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7
Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
Step 8
This makes about 5 dozen cookies. The dough logs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 8 weeks.
