Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg (50g)
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
  • 1 cup (150g) Heath Candy Bars, coarsely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened butter with light brown sugar and granulated white sugar until pale and fluffy (approximately 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed just until flour streaks disappear.
  6. Using a spatula, gently fold in the chopped Heath bars by hand until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are light golden brown but centers remain slightly soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes to set before transferring to a wire rack.
