Homemade Horse Treat Dough:
Mix flour and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Add 1 cup of molasses. Optional: toss in some crushed peppermint.
Mix until the dough forms small pieces.
Knead on a floured surface, adding the reserved 1/2 tablespoon of molasses if needed.
Cookie Cutter Horse Treats:
Roll out the dough to 1/4 thickness.
Use cookie cutters, place on a greased baking sheet, and top with peppermint.
Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes.
Drop Cookies:
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
Break 1 inch dough balls and flatten them into circles.
Place the cookies on a greased baking sheet.
Top each cookie with crushed peppermint pieces.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies are set and golden.
