- ½ cup butter room temperature
- 1 ½ cups light brown sugar packed
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
- 2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mixing the Dough
In the bowl of your stand mixer, use the paddle attachment to beat the butter and sugar on medium speed until combined.
Add the egg, vanilla, sour cream, salt, and baking soda. Mix until smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
Turn the mixer to low and add the flour. Mix until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
Scoop the dough using a 2-tablespoon-sized scoop or spoon.
Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes.
