Homemade Horse Treats with Molasses and Peppermint

Ever thought about making treats for your horse? It’s surprisingly easy We tried a simple recipe with just 3 ingredients, topped with crushed peppermint sticks.

Making Horse Treats:

Making Horse Treats:

When the idea of making our horse treats came up, the kids were all in After exploring various recipes, we settled on a straightforward one with 3 ingredients, ditching icing for crushed peppermint toppings.

The secret to crisp, crunchy horseradish cookies is drying them at low temperatures for a long time. Drying in a 225 degree oven works best for me. After baking, I turn off the oven and let them sit overnight, as everything cools down. It dries them completely for extra crispness without scorching.

These homemade horse treats are flavored with oats and spices. This recipe allows you to create many flavor variations. Choose from cinnamon, fennel, fennel seed or ginger to change up the flavor. This is the basic recipe for cinnamon, with variations below.
