This Copycat Publix Sugar Cookie recipe is super easy to make. You can mix the dough and bake it in the oven in less than 20 minutes. The key to making them soft and chewy is to not overcook them. Bake them for 8 minutes max!
In a large bowl with a hand mixer, cream the butter, cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract until light and fluffy usually about 4-5 minutes.

Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Refrigerate the dough for 2 hours before baking.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the sprinkles into a bowl. Prepare a plate that you will use to put back in the fridge for a few minutes.
