These olive oil cookies are amazing. You’d never know they were butterless cookies. It mixes beautifully with the cocoa powder, creating a mild flavor. If that wasn’t enough, these no butter cookies are also gluten freenut-freeegg free, and can easily be made vegan!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups 375gflour
  • 1 cup 120g powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup 120ml Olive oil
  • ½ cup 120ml Orange juice
  • Zest from one orange Sesame seed optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

  • Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the orange juice, and orange zest into the olive oil.
  • Combine the wet mixture with the dry mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  • step3. Arranging the cookies

  • Take a small portion of the dough, roll it into a ball, cover it with sesame seeds, and arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving 1½ inches (3cm) of space.
  • step4. Bake the Cookies
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.

  • Let cool on the baking tray for 5 minutes, transfer to a cooling rack, and cool completely.
