A Crispy Cookies

Soft Banana Pudding Cookie Recipe

Banana Pudding Cookie Recipe

I have always loved banana pudding. Creamy pudding, vanilla wafers, bananas, and whipped cream are such comforting classic desserts. So, I decided to turn the banana pudding into a cookie.

Dessert

“Banana Cream Pudding, vanilla wafers, and white chocolate chips make these cookies taste just like banana pudding(Banana Pudding Cookie Recipe).”

I wasn’t sure it would work, but these Banana Pudding Cookie Recipe taste like banana pudding. If you bite blindfolded, you’ll think you’re eating banana pudding. The texture is different because it’s a cookie, but the flavor is spot on.

To make these cookies, I added a package of banana cream pudding mix to the cookie dough. Using pudding mix in cookies keeps them super soft.

The Banana Cream Pudding gave the cookies a perfect banana flavor. I added chopped vanilla wafers to the dough for a nice crunch and to enhance the banana pudding taste. White chocolate chips were mixed in to mimic the sweet whipped cream.

Recipe Tips & Tricks

Perfectly Round Cookies: To shape your cookies perfectly, use the back of a spoon to nudge them into shape as soon as they come out of the oven. This helps them maintain a slightly thicker center and gives a uniform look.

Perfectly Round Cookies

To Chill or Not to Chill: Chilling cookie dough is optional. Some believe it enhances flavor and prevents spreading, but it’s not necessary unless making sugar cookies.

Parchment Paper: Using parchment paper prevents cookies from sticking to the pan and makes clean-up easier. Precut sheets are convenient and save time.

Decorating: For an impressive finish, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cookies and sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafer crumbs. This adds a sophisticated touch.
