CAKE BATTER GOLDEN OREO COOKIE RECIPE

Golden Oreo Cookie Recipe

After sharing my recipe for Homemade Oreo Cookies, I noticed a recurring request from my followers for golden Oreo variations. As a food blogger, I’m usually looking for new recipes, but the demand for these cookies was too much to ignore. So, I decided to twist my original recipe and make homemade golden Oreos. Result? Butter combined with a delightful crunch and just the right level of sweetness.

This recipe makes a delicious gooey cookie with vanilla flavor. Inspired by a bakery-style chocolate chip cookie recipe, it combines golden Oreos and rainbow sprinkles with white chocolate for a delightful vanilla twist.

Tips and Notes for Homemade Golden Oreo cookie recipe

Tips and Notes for Homemade Golden Oreo cookie recipe

  • Fondant Choice: Opt for a good quality store-bought, ready-to-roll fondant for the filling. Look for brands that aren’t overly sweet to avoid overpowering the cookie’s flavor.
  • Cookie Cutter Options: To replicate the look of the cookies in the recipe, consider using a double-sided crinkled cookie cutter set. For decorative patterns, a fondant press can be used, ensuring not to cut through the entire cookie with the press, but only making a gentle indent.
  • Golden Syrup Substitute: Golden syrup adds a unique sweetness to the cookies. While it’s common in English baking, it may not be readily available everywhere. Consider purchasing it online if needed, or look for substitutes with a similar flavor profile.
Equipment for Making Homemade Golden Oreo cookie recipe
  • Cookie Sheets: These are essential for baking your cookies. Make sure you have enough sheets to accommodate the number of cookies you’ll be making.
  • Stand Mixer with Paddle Attachment: While you can mix cookie dough by hand, a stand mixer with a paddle attachment will make the process quicker and easier. It ensures thorough mixing of ingredients and helps create a uniform dough consistency.
  • Spatula: A spatula is useful for scraping down the sides of the mixing bowl and transferring cookie dough onto the baking sheets.
  • Parchment Paper: Using parchment paper on your cookie sheets prevents cookies from sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. It also promotes even baking and prevents cookies from spreading too much.
  • 1/3 Cup Measuring Cup, Cookie Scoop, or Scale: Consistently sized cookies ensure even baking. You can use a 1/3 cup measuring cup, a cookie scoop, or a scale to portion out your cookie dough. This ensures that all your cookies are the same size and bake evenly.
